Dave’s Hot Chicken

I stopped for lunch on Friday the 25th of August. I ordered just one slider with fries and a small drink. I chose the extra hot and I am used to hot foods so this wasn't extra for me. For sure, next time, I'll try the Reaper. The fries had some seasoning that probably I'll ask less of next time. The chicken was hot as I took my first bite. The cheese had a distinctive taste that I am not used to, but overall, I liked it because it melted nicely into the slider. When I ordered , I forgot to mention that I wanted cheese, so the girl charged me separately the cheese. I noticed when the back kitchen wanted to pass the food, the cashier let them know to please, but it on the slider since I forgot to mention it when ordering. That was a good service habit she had because I wouldn't have liked just a cold slice of cheese separately. I didn't even mention to the girl that it was my first time there, but this comes to show that she truly wants the orders to go out properly. I believe the cashier name is Evian, who did a great job! In addition, I asked for the sauce and kale slaw on the side so I could put it myself into the slider, which both were good once I added it. The wall art with the hot air balloon and wine was cool because it goes with what Temecula is known for.

Had to check it out because of the hype.

Dave's Hot Chicken is known for its Nashville style spiciness. It's more of a dry cayenne pepper type of heat, so if you are used to sweeter kind of spiciness then this is not for you.

Overall the chicken had good flavor, but although the meat wasn't dry, it wasn't particularly juicy either. The tenders were of good size though. The meals are quite filling.

Worth a try.

Had a chance to drop by today to try it out. Even though I’m a lightweight when it comes to hot food the IG posts inspired me. This location in Temecula hasn’t been open long but it appears always busy. I called my order in ahead of time which was a smart move ( I recommend you do!I arrived a few minutes before my food supposedly would be ready by the quick and easy online ordering app. My food wasn’t ready for about 10 minutes after that, but they were super busy so no worries. The light mild slider and fries were great, minimally hot, and I’d say fairly priced for the quality. The “special sauce” was particularly good. If you’re in the neighborhood I recommend giving it a go!

It was definitely worth the wait. The chicken was excellent the breading was perfectly crunchy. The seasoning is delicious and pairs perfectly with the sauce. The fries are great too, lightly seasoned. Will definitely be back for more!

I've been to a couple other locations before and it was just ok. I was craving some hot chicken and saw this location just opened, so gave it another try. I was pleasantly surprised this time. The chicken was hot, tender, and delicious. Went for the medium this time and it had good flavor with a little bit of heat. Think I'll go for hot next time as I would have liked a little bit more heat. There was a line out the door when we arrived, but it moved quick and we had our order in after a few minutes. Food came out pretty quick as well despite how many people were waiting. Definitely be back, glad this location is close to home.
