I didn't expect to like it. It's chicken fingers...
They do one thing, and they do it very well. The chicken is moist and not heavy breaded.
Dipping sauce is okay, as is the coleslaw. The texas toast wasn't toast. It was warm bread.
Ordering is quick as there aren't many options. The line is long, so I was surprised it went as quickly as it did.
Anyways, I'd do it again.
First time at any Cane's. Too dry for my taste.
Wanted to try this place as they are starting to pop up, Got the sandwich combo and it was very filling. I found the chicken to be a bit dry though the batter "cook" was good...really need to slather on the sauce. I prefer Popeye's (which isn't really out here)...maybe Cane's doesn't marinade or something, but it's just not juicy at all. Was better than fried chicken at a Chili's or Friday's or something, but really didn't see what the rage is about...maybe just an issue with this location.
edit: going to bump the 2 stars to 3 since the service was excellent especially considering the current situation.
I almost want to give 4 stars since the employees were "that" good, but just really think the chicken wasn't that good.
Very friendly service by the staff and cashiers. 10% military discounts are provided on all orders. The chicken tenders are very tender with light breading, and the crinkle fries are all right. The sweet tea is a family favorite. Very kid friendly as well. A go-to spot for my family for tasty chicken fingers.
Very good chicken tenders as they are nice sized and juicy! Their special Cane Sauce goes well with the chicken, and one can taste the salt and pepper in it.
If you don't feel like having the combo meals that come with crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, a soft drink, and one container of Cane's Sauce, you can always either buy the tenders individually (sauce costs extra in this case) or go with their tailgate trays of 25, 50, 75, or 100 tenders. Also, they do have a honey mustard sauce if you prefer that over their Cane's Sauce.
They open early and close late, so definitely give them a try if you like fried chicken tenders.
:)
