Always love black bear diner. Haven't been to a bad one yet. Excellent service with friendly staff, outstanding quantity and quality of food for the price. Hungry like never before? Bigfoot chicken fried steak and eggs will cure that!

Wow! Just leaving this place right now! The brisket sandwich was amazing! Our server was Diana, she was so amazing, very attentive, such a sweetheart! She was so helpful! That girl made our whole experience here so awesome! Special thanks to her, we will definitely be back!

Has a couple of vegetarian options, which they are able to adapt to vegan. They have Beyond burgers, which can be served without the bun or sauces to be vegan. The sweet potato fries are excellent. Service was attentive and informative. Portion sizes are excessive; this would not be a healthy place to eat at on a regular basis.

They are always friendly and attentive, without rushing you, even when there's a crowd. Our food, while not always tasting the way we thought it would (our perception), has always been hot, well presented, and well-made. They are always ready to accommodate our 5 person (three kid) family, with highchair or boosters. We've never encountered a mess or an attitude. The environment is rustic and fun, with LOTS of bears!

I have been going to Black Bear Diner since I was young, and I say this truthfully, whenever I'm having a hard day I come into Black Bear Diner. The Black Bear Diner in Citrus Heights warms my heart. Their food, service, and kindness. They just make my day better. One employee actually stopped and noticed I didn't look too good and asked me if I was okay. He then talked to me about it. He took a seat my booth and was kind and heard me out and gave me his best advice. Thank you so much Black Bear Diner. Your food is amazing but your hospitality, kindness, and service is absolutely wonderful.
