I've been going to Mel Dogs for years and I truley believe that it is the best breakfast spot in elk grove. You won't find better pancakes anywhere and their scrambles taste heavenly. The service is always great and the prices aren't bad either. I think the only think that could possibly make Mel Dog's better would be if they stayed open for dinner. Thats a bummer but other than that the place is great. Go there and find out for yourself.

This place is awesome, they have good coffee and great pancakes. The staff is friendly and attentive, they never let my coffee go cold. All around a top notch American dinner.

Great food. Great people. No complaints here. - Editing my review but still five stars! I eat here often and had a billing issue recently after I used my card, which has never happened before (could have even been my bank's fault). I was double charged. When I brought it to their attention they were super professional and apologetic about it and we worked out the overcharge issue. It's all good. Stuff happens. I still eat here often. Really good food in general but exceptional pancakes - best I've ever had!
