This is the one "corporate or chain restaurant " in Elk Grove that remains consistent. You can always count on finding something on the menu that everyone will like, and the food is good. It's not excellent but it's good, and we've always found the service to be very good. Not too happy with their last menu change and the removal of the little sweet cake like rolls from their bread basket but we've found that they're more then willing to accommodate if you want to "customize" your order. We've held a couple of luncheons here and were very happy with the outcomes.
A nice, homey restaurant with some French influences. Killer muffins and good service. Have it a four cause it feels pretty small inside and if fills up quickly. Otherwise, this is a great place to go to.
Under new ownership they have revitalized Italian cuisine in a cafe style, my mom loves this place but we're noticing a change in the food. Higher prices for less quantity and not exactly the kind of taste you would expect given the description of each menu item. Great customer service, needs attention to taste quality
Mimi’s is always hopping because there aren’t too many breakfast joints in town which is really a shame for this area. I refuse to wait an hour for any establishment just to eat. I can go home and make my own grits, eggs and bacon! BUT, I like going out to get breakfast on some weekends. Mimi’s is consistently tasty... coffee is incredible. I recommend you get there early on a weekend or be prepared to wait... if that’s what you like to do. Never seems like enough help. Hopefully they’ll figure that out so less waiting.
We came down to to visit family and visited late morning on a Saturday, which means the place was packed. Yet we received excellent, friendly service. Our food took a bit long (it was very busy) but we never felt neglected, and they made sure to get our children's food out right away so they didn't have to wait. The food was amazing - waffles are fluffy and the chicken is juicy. Well worth a little wait.
