Wild Rooster Bistro

We have eaten here 3 times and have been extremely happy each time. This is a great place if you like vegetarian or vegan options. A great example of their commitment to excellence is their veggie burrito. Many places just fill a burrito with rice, beans, cheese and pico de Gallo and call it a day. Wild Rooster adds spices and flavoring to make it interesting. That has been true every time. Interesting, flavorful and fresh are the hallmarks of this restaurant. And oh, the staff is very nice and helpful.

LOVED our visit here. My husband and I have been trying to visit for awhile after Wild Rooster was part of the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge and we definitely should've came here sooner!They have a separate vegan menu and many things on the regular menu can be made vegan as well. Our vegan enchiladas and sopes were super delicious and we had amazing service. We highly recommend this restaurant and plan to visit often now :)

I'm vegan, husband isn't, and we both love Mexican breakfast food. This place was recommended by his vegan coworker, and we are so happy she recommended it. What makes it our new favorite restaurant isn't just the delicious food and plethora of delicious veg options, but it's the absolute treasure of people who work there. They are so friendly and attentive, it feels like dining with family but better! Whether it's a quick pass through before errands, or a way to kick-start our anniversary festivities, we always can rely on Wild Roster Bistro to deliver. Much love to them all!

If a Mexican restaurant is going to charge $4 for chips and salsa, the place better be spectacular. Sadly the restaurant wasn’t (though the chips and salsa were very good).
The place wasn’t bad at all, but in a region with Mexican restaurants on every corner, you have to do SOMETHING to rise above.

The place is simple and menu is good, my enchiladas mole were solid and the chile relleno was pretty good, stuffed with pork. But there is not much that says “bistro”.

Its a 3 star restaurant based on ambiance, service, price and quality, but I give an extra star because they are a mom&pop business In the heart of Fair Oaks Village.

We passed this restaurant as we walked around old Fair Oaks park. We are glad we decided to go in for lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered chips and salsa which were both homemade and delicious. Our lunch was delicious as well. We would definitely go back. A small establishment that stands up to larger Mexican restaurants. This was far better!
