Heckle Alehouse & Eatery

Exactly what you expect from a small alehouse and BBQ place. Relaxed, casual atmosphere, solid food and an expansive beer list. These guys are great. Food and Staff are Fantastic!

Heckle seems like a perfectly adequate place. It's fine, there's nothing wrong with it, but there's nothing particularly memorable about it either. The decor is...plain, the beer selection was fine but forgettable - I didn't try any of the food so I can't comment about that. I had a good time here, I wouldn't object to going back, but honestly I probably won't ever suggest going back here again just because I won't remember it. If you live right nearby, then it could be a perfectly fine local watering hole, but I'd say there are much better regular spots just a block or so over on Sutter Street.

Great lunch spot! There are a lot of overrated restaurants in Sac these days that charge so much for a tasteless meal. This place is NOT one of them. Delicious burger and the house made chips were amazing! Friendly fast service and dog friendly patio area outside for nature lovers passing by for a bite!

Stopped by for lunch and had a great experience with the staff and the the menu. Our food was fantastic, you could tell everything was scratch made. My brisket sandwich was tender and flavorful. The beer was selection was great, about 20 local beers on tap. This is definitely a spot I would come back to visit. Definitely order the cheese curds!

Great food, great beer and great service! Stopped in for lunch after going to the big craft fair in Folsom. Staff was very friendly.

Overheard a customer tell their server that something they had was "horrible." I too ordered something that had creme on it, which is what the customer was talking about. I made a point to tell the server that the creme was good, because it was. I listened to him explain to the customer what creme was, because she had no idea. There is also other ways to say you don't like something without saying something is horrible. It wasn't "horrible", she just didn't know what it was.

We will definitely go back to Heckle Alehouse.
