I have had the chicken tenders, sliders, the fries and the milkshakes. Chicken and fries were delicious with whatever is used in the seasoning and spices. I like the 6 levels of how spicy and hot it can be for the chicken. Definitely different flavors than other chicken places. The milkshakes are typical milkshakes but I like it on the menu. I like spicy food with ice cream or milkshakes. The staff were very friendly and provided great customer service. I haven't redeemed any points yet but I will soon. I always take advantage of the apps offered by businesses. I would still come here though even if I didn't get free food.
Dave’s Hot Chicken in Folsom, CA doesn’t just have some of the best HOT fried chicken, they also have some of the coolest design I’ve seen in a restaurant. The menu is simple with few choices for your main meal and they have more options for sides, like Mac & cheese and kale slaw. Their fries are seasoned perfectly and make for a great side to the chicken. The chicken, of course, is the star of the show…with 6 levels of heat starting at “Lite Mild” up to “Reaper” (which I do not dare subject my tastebuds to) there is a heat level to suite everyone’s palettes, my choices are Medium & Hot. Next time you’re craving some great HOT fried chicken, stop at Dave’s Hot Chicken!
Great hot chicken overall.
Got the #2 medium heat with cheese. The heat was on point, the buns soft and fresh, the chicken juicy and crispy. The pickles are nice deli style pickles that are more than just a garnish.
Weakest points were the cabbage, which is oddly thick chunks, and the fries. The sauce for the fries however makes up for the average fries and makes you go back for more.
One thing to note, these “sliders” are not small. One is enough to satisfy, as it’s probably more chicken than your average chic fil a sandwich.
Overall I am quite pleased. Would definitely come back when I’m craving some hot chicken.
This is the 3rd hot chicken chain that has come to the area in a year. The best part this one has a drive thru. The spicy, slaw, sauce, and pickles were great. I think the winner of the hot chicken wars and if they really want to compete, in comparison to ChickfilA, they should include the drink with the $9.99 meal. Once the hype dies down people need to see some value.
Service was quick. We went in at 8pm on Friday night. Line moved quickly and we had our orders ready by 8.10pm.
We ordered Dave#1 and Dave#3. Combination of medium, hot. It was perfect.
Not a fan of their plain bread. Tenders were too greasy for my liking. Fries and kale slaw was decent.
Liked Dave’s sauce, they were generous with the extra servings of the sauce. Clean and neat ambience. My husband says he is coming back to try reapers(their hottest chicken) the next time.
