Oba Japanese Kitchen

This was our first time to this establishment. The food was great and the prices were great. The location was good easy to find. Were definitely going to visit again.

This place is uncannily similar to a cafe that serves sushi on alhambra.

They have the same cartoon sushi wallpaper, same furniture and very similar menus.

They feature similar happy hours.

There's even a land park roll but neither sushi joint is in land park...

This happy hour only goes until 5 and has fewer rolls available, but the rolls are but larger than the other cafe's sushi.

They have the same beer glasses, but they aren't so cold that ice forms in your Sapporo. They don't pour it way to the tippitytop every. single. time.

The service was good when I went, which is pretty much the opposite of what I expect from my favorite cafe. The sushi cafe has some of the worst service I tolerate [the sushi's is worth it]

It would be hard to replace my favorite cafe by imitating their sushi and menu, but this imposter cafe hits the spot closer to home. We will see how the quality of service holds up.

Adequate Japanese food. Large menu with plenty of options. Service was decent, if a little slow. Though it was the lunch rush. Ramen was average. Decent place to eat, but nothing to write home about.

First time here, was very glad I stopped here to eat. Great service by a extremely nice young man, I believe his name is Jamie. Patricia, owner chatted with me, again very nice. Reasonable prices and excellent food and table service. I will definitely be back here!

japanese food and the setting at this spot is very good. I should have took a photo of the food but it was too good to interrupt. The service was friendly and sociable. This place has a cool design. Feeling here is similar to a cafe in San Jose I liked.
