Always great food and service. Whenever I’m attending an event downtown it is my favorite place to dine.

I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The food was good and the service was very friendly. My boyfriend got the duck and was very pleased to find out the cook it by the traditional French standards. He said it was done very well, not over cooked, and was some of the best he’s found in the states. I deducted one star because the portions are quite measly. For example, I ordered the lamb as my main course for dinner. Where most restaurants will serve 4 lamb lollipops (or at least 3 minimum), Brasserie Capitals only serves 2. Both my boyfriend and I received approximately 2-4 ounces of meat for $30-$45 a plate.

We got the set lunch menu. The food tasted good but portions were on the slightly smaller side. Left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. The chocolate mousse dessert was so good. Wine menu is good. Nice craft cocktails as well ($8-$12 each).

Simply outstanding. One of the best meals I've had in Sacramento over 30 years. Delicious oysters, wonderful fish, and to die for duck. Excellent list of French wines. Fun cocktails. Attentive but not intrusive service. Comfortable and relaxing decor. Not inexpensive but more than worth the value received. Don't wait. Go there soon!
