Good Mongolian BBQ, not the best I've had, but our Mongolian BBQ options are very limited these days, so beggars can't be choosers. The place could use some sprucing up... it's quite worn out looking... let's be honest, I'm kind of surprised that there's a health dept PASS sign in the window. But I do like that they blanch the broccoli before putting it out on the line, so it's totally cooked after hitting the grill. Silver lining.
Decent Mongolian BBQ and the customer service was good. Building itself is dated and the bathrooms are extremely dirty. However, I did like the ability to add hot sauce to my bowl prior to it being cooked. Most places have the hot sauce on the dining table, however at Golden Bowls they have it on the counter prior to handing your food to the cook. Huge bonus for that! Husband wasn't a fan of the few choices of sauces, but did enjoy the many choices of meat. Vegetables were decent and fresh. Overall, it's a good restaurant, just not the cleanest. I wouldn't mind eating here again, but I wouldn't go out if my way for it.
They have very nice staff that are kind and helpful. They also have a great selection of interesting food and decent decoration . I have one main complaint however. There is really anything unique about it, nothing that sets it apart from other Mongolian grils. But if you are not worried about that, then I would rate it five stars.
