Circle K staff have an awesome sense of humor and they are friendly as well
Just a thought: a backpack Does Not equal homelessness. Maybe wording more like "I see three people who look obviously homeless, putting food in their backpacks...." I use a backpack, almost daily & I see looks on some (actually ALOT) faces and sometimes its makes me wanna scream. I live in a home, have a 40 hour a week job but choose to ride a bike as transpo & using a backpack really comes in handy. So, one more time: a backpack does not equal homelessness people. Either does riding a bike. ( & yes I've had a car(s) before.
This place is exactly what it is: a convenience store. Beer and wine, road trip-style snacks, hot food and coffee, cold sandwiches, tobacco products. They do not try to hide the true nature of the location, which is why it is my go-to place for small purchases. They employees are a nice bunch, but the location does seem a bit understaffed, as there is usually only one cashier working when I walk in. However, they do pull staff from the back if there is a large crowd of people waiting to check out.
Was there buying beer and there's only one checker. I see three people with backpacks, obviously they look homeless. I see them putting fresh hot food in their backpacks. I try to tell the cashier but she is busy talking on her cellphone. So whatever...
