Great food. Home style. Attentive service. Just ignore the ambience. Get over yourself. Crispy hash browns, tasty pork products, nice biscuits and gravy, and perfecy chicken fried steak.
Go here now if you love chicken. I waited way too long to visit this restaurant. Took the family the other day. I got the fried chicken sandwich, wife got the chicken fried steak (she's a good eater) and the kids got the kid's chicken stripes. All was amazing! Super nice staff and when the check was dropped off we each got a bite of sweet potato pie. Amazing. Oh yeah, got 2 beers too. The food was amazing, chicken sandwich was better than chicken sandwiches offered at places like The Porch, Brodericks, and Iron Horse and possibly better than the fried chicken sandwich at South. And! This place was more affordable than any of the aforementioned restaurants. My only complaint is the lack of bicycle infrastructure in the vicinity of the restaurant (not their fault). Sorry no pics, I'll take some when I go back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento. They have the friendliest service and best food.
We had the hot chicken and waffles, shrimp po' boy, and a side of red beans in rice. I was a little disappointed in the sandwich coming back from New Orleans not too long ago where it was more simple, but it was still good. Everything else I have had from this place is to die for.
We went in for breakfast and it was fantastic. The staff were professional and courteous. The food was cooked to order and tasted great. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and the gravy was delicious. I highly recommend this place for any meal!
Outstanding food. Old school diner vibe run by an Asian woman cooking southern food. Yeah I know, but she put her foot in that omelette home fries and biscuits and gravy. All I can say is the biscuits and gravy is as addictive as crack. Any questions?
