Iron Horse Tavern

Pleasantly surprised to find this bar at SMF. We a fans of Cafeteria 15L and thought this would be a great way to kick off our vacation.

Seats were limited, but we were able to grab one before we ran out of time.

We didn't have a ton of time, but enough for some food and a quick drink.

We ordered the Turkey, apple and brie sandwich, a tavern burger and a beer and everything was awesome. We thought the staff was pleasant, but service was a bit slow.

We would come back again, maybe on the next trip!

The surprise of my trip was an airport restaurant. Wanted a lot of food to knock me out for the flight back to Richmond and it did not disappoint. Buffalo wings were crispy and saucy, pretty much perfect and very messy. But the mac and cheese sampler stole the show. Bacon and egg mac was a breakfast sandwich for dinner, incredibly satisfying. The lobster mac was more cheese than lobster (which isn't really a knock against it, I just prefer more lobster to less!). The jalapeno mac won the battle in my heart - just the right amount of heat. The meal did its job.
