Selland's Market Café Broadway Sacramento

Selland's new spot on Broadway is excellent! Their food is spot-on as is the case with their other location. Service is great and there is so much more room here, so bring all your friends! I recommend this place for any type of meal you and your friends are looking for. My favorite is the Eggs Florentine Pizza.

If you are in any way indecisive checkout the menu online ahead, because as soon as you walk in you are expected to rattle off your order to an employed who will come from the back and is trained to quickly take your order and move you along.

If there is a line it can get a bit nebulous so be aware.

We notice a lot of to go orders.

The service is pretty consistent here but wait staff are fairly young.

Once you order your entree and any sides then you are shuttled to the checkout area where you need to prepare yourself to order your dessert, drink, pay our bill and get your number.

Then you can turn around with number in hand find a table, obtain any needed silverware, complimentary water, condiments etc. from the self serve station opposite the checkout area.

Then relax and wait for your food to be delivered to your table.

The dinner for 2 for $25 is usually pretty good. But sometimes the pasta special can leave you less than satiated.

If you are by yourself you could easily spend more than $20 on lunch if you also get a coffee and dessert. The online cafe menu does not list the coffee drinks they offer, that I could see.

We have seen parents bring their very young children here so be prepared.

If you have the benjamins, are really decisive, have some energy, don't feel like cooking or don't know how to cook and want healthier choices you will probably really enjoy yourself here.

If you are really tired and want more service then drive a few blocks over to Tower for a complete sit down restaurant experience.

Everybody who works so nice and accommodating their customer service is great like they really enjoy working there. The food is good the deserts are to die for and they have good vegan selections although they don't cook them everyday. Definitely worth stopping in. I also try the sangria.

We love the $25 dinner for two! It comes with two delicious main dishes and a bottle of wine! If you don't want wine you can change it for a salad or dessert. It always comes out hot and fast. It's a home run every visit and we usually go nearly once a week!
It's busy and filled with a friendly, diverse crowd. It's decor is country chic and has plenty of tables! There is also a patio for alfresco dining! Everything at Sellands is tastes great! It's one of our favorite places to eat!
