El Cantaro Vegan Taqueria

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Sacramento! I’ve taken my non-plant based friends here and they said the same. Coming from the Central Valley it’s been hard to find a place that truly states authentic. There are a few other places that have some good items, but everything I have tried here has been delicious! Even if you’re not plant based, come with and open mind, you won’t be disappointed.

The spicy salsa is fire! I had the Combo #1 and everything was really freaking good. Large vegan menu, but you can add chicken or steak if you want. The one downside is the cost, it's pretty spendy. I will definitely go back.

Great new vegan restaurant. I ate here with a non vegan and they enjoyed the food too! We ordered nachos, sauteed vegetables taco, chicken taco, and bean/cheese burrito. We also got chips and salsa to eat while we waited for our food. I do wish they had more drink options.

I was so happy when I found this all vegan place on Google Maps!!! It’s always so depressing when you go to a Mexican restaurant and all you can eat is an under seasoned veggie burrito or cheese quesadilla. So imagine my excitement when I realized I could eat everything on this menu! I got the “steak” enchiladas with red sauce and pinto beans and my partner got the Chile Rellano. Both were excellent. The “meat” was seasoned perfectly. My only critique is that it could’ve been spicier. Also the place was full even though it was 2pm. I highly recommend coming here. Note that the prices are a bit high (spent $45 for two) but the quality is very very good. Can’t wait to come every week and try everything on the menu!!!

The food was amazing!! Best vegan tacos I’ve had. There was a mixup in the order but other than that it is great for vegan tacos. My favorite was fish taco with mango salsa!
