Federalist Public House

Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant ... it is basically a renovated shipping container. We came on a cold day but stayed warm with the heat lamps. The pizza was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the salad. #lettucecountry

Good Neopolitan style pizza, the best I've found in Sacramento so far. The dough had a great flavor and was nicely charred, though I could have gone for it being even slightly more so. Will have to try the red sauce next time. The kale salad was nice, but for uncooked kale I wish the pieces had been cut a little smaller. Good beer selection. Laid back vibe.

This place is cool but pricey. The food is stylish but nothing so special that you should wait 45min to an hour for. It is worth checking out at least once if you're in that party of town.

Located off an alley in downtown Sacramento, it is not easy to find - but worth the effort. Atmosphere is interesting....half open air, half shipping container and very hip with all bench style communal seating. Tried a house salad and a pizza and was impressed by the pizza (not so much the salad). Ordered several different draft beers as well as their house sangria - very good. Highly recommend for casual evening out.
