Cheap. Tasty.
I like my dumplings pan fried, my son boiled. We both enjoyed them. The sauces are fine but the area where they are held could do with some reorg. It got. a bit messy.
You can order at the counter, or via a touch screen interface - no idea which one works best as I always feel I'm jumping the line if I was to use it.
Great food to grab and go eat on the Capitol Steps and watch the promenading State workers in all their glory.
What a great little lunch. Hot food. Quick service. Excellent sauces!!
Yummy! Quick, great value, delicious.
Exactly what you think it is, just dumplings. The beef had the best flavor. Not Bad, but not special.
A snug dumpling house on the Kay which has some cheap, quick, delicious dumplings. They offer beef, pork, and vegetarian dumplings; steamed, pan fried, or in a bone-broth soup. They also offer noodles and assorted drinks. The cost is very affordable at around $5 for 8 dumplings and $9 for 16 dumplings.
I prefer the steamed pork dumplings with their house spicy sauce. On average I've waited between 8-15 minutes for a full order of dumplings. You can order either via a cashier or at a screen near the register (just don't forget to print your receipt!)
The inside is plain and advertising and decor is limited although this isn't a place you're expected to stay in for extended periods of time. For what it offers, Hao Bao Dumplings is a fantastic lunch spot if you're in downtown and looking for a bite on a budget.
