Pancake Circus

I was craving eggs Benedict this morning, and was on Broadway when I saw Pancake Circus was open. I've lived in Sacramento since 2013, knew this place had been here a very long time, but never stopped in. The establishment had reasonable social distancing standards in place, so I sat down and ordered. Service was excellent, food came quickly, and was very satisfying. The hollandaise was very good.

Great service! Booths had enough barrier between customers for a safer eating environment. Food was good as always.

The food is great the service is top notch, and the the people are friendly, and easygoing. The atmosphere is laid back with no rush for you to leave. I have been going there for the past 5 yrs and was relieved to finally see the dinning room open for customers and a good home cooked meal to eat in a relaxed environment. Well worth the stop to dine.

Don't be deceived by the rather drab exterior: Pancake Circus is a great old fashion breakfast joint with an excellent menu. There were so many excellent choices on the menu that on our next visit to Sacramento we will definitely have breakfast there again. The service was good and prices reasonable, too. We lived in Sacto for years and left in the early 90s. This was our favorite breakfast joint because of the buckwheat pancakes. So of course we stopped in during a road trip. Not much changed - just the upholstery. Great service, great pancakes, and oodles of clown pictures and dolls. Sadly our kiddo hates clowns.

Excellent diner with a fun theme. The clowns on the walls creeped out my girlfriend which I thought hilarious. The food was of excellent quality and everything was tasty. It is nice to see an old school place like this still thriving and keeping alive the diner.

Oh and those pancakes are so good!
