Aloha! This is a commendable deli with good sandwiches and friendly staff. Friendly clean and relaxed atmosphere. My only concern for example their sandwiches. They are in heavy competition especially that Jersey Mike’s is on the other side of the freeway. For the Price per Portions more people may opt to go to others. Another example is their Pastrami. For the same price of $9 plus, more people may opt to the Hat in which for just the same price has a Rich portion of Pastrami on their Sandwiches. The comparison is undeniable. I like this restaurant but in my opinion they need to consider studying their competition in order to last.
Omg, the food here is delicious. Chili cheese fries are the best I've had. Try it you won't be disappointed!
It was delicious and fresh. Fries was hot and golden.
This place is usually delicious when I go in the morning. Whoever the cook is does a fantastic job. However, the girls at night time are very sweet but cannot cook. I asked for a grilled veggie sandwich and received a raw veggie sandwich the first time. I took it back and received a half cooked veggie sandwich. The onions bell pepper and mushrooms were still hard. I think the girls were in a rush to close being that I came minutes before closing time. If it wasn't for the lady in the morning I would be giving this deli 1 star and not 3.. to the ladies at night, please get it together!
My teenage son and I went to the Fontana location on a Wednesday. Both women working there were friendly. The one who took our order showed me the vegetarian options and told us about the current deal. The food was great. The sandwiches were so large that we, each, had to take one half of ours as a carry out. The train is a wonderfully nostalgic touch and is an iconic symbol for The Deli. I’m glad they incorporated it into this location. If you haven’t been there yet, do yourself a favor and go.
