The Aviator Cafe

This place was wonderful. Very nice clean the people were very friendly service was great, and the food was delicious and hot. All in all a delightful experience.

A very enjoyable experience. The service was friendly and informative. The food was excellent!! The beef dip...perfect and the chicken fried steak my wife had was excellent. biscuits and gravy hash browns and eggs the best.

It's not that big of a Bar upstairs the dining area at the bottom isn't too small, went for Dinner Saturday night had beer and Hamburgers the food TASTED GREAT THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE VIEW WAS AWESOME! Went back the next day for breakfast loved the portions and the menu prices were excellent. Love to watch the ladies have their Bloody Mary's for breakfast. Great small town atmosphere.

This was the 1st time I've eaten here and I've lived in the High Desert area for about 20 years, and I'm pretty impressed. The food was delicious and the portion size of our meals were just right. The cooks did an awesome job! Our server greeted us immediately and was very nice, even tho we had come in right before closing. She took our order and brought out our drinks right away and our food shortly after. Overall we had a great experience, we regret not trying it sooner. We'll definitely be going back! Great job!

It was too turbulent to land my Cessna 182 in Big Bear, so I diverted to Hesperia and decided to grab a bite at the restaurant. This was my second visit to this place, and it was even better than the first. The service is excellent. Even as a solo diner, I was regularly checked up on and not forgotten. The food is excellent. I had the waffle with berries and whipped cream (needed some sugar after a longer-than-expected flight). Last time I had an omelette and it was delicious. The place is very clean and the restrooms are well-kept.

It's an older style restaurant with an ambiance of old school aviation. There were a few patrons in there on Thursday afternoon, and on the weekend when I visited, it was busy. Even the outdoor patio was packed.

Pat, the owner, was very friendly and kind to me, and it seemed that she would like to see more aviators stop in. There is plenty of general aviation airplane parking. The taxiway could use a little love, but it's paved and in good shape, as is the runway.

I will certainly be visiting again.
