Newberry Cafe

I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was here. If I'm in the area again I will certainly be stopping.

I arrive at this outstanding restaurant many times because I enjoy the good air that is outline this place. The team is exceptionally welcoming and well trained. The service is very quick. Also, the food they prepare is excellent. I have been there many times and I was always pleased. The rate is modest. I highly recommend this place to to everybody.

This is a hidden gem inside a Chevron Station on Route 66 in Newberry Springs, CA.
Whenever I am in this part of California I make sure to stop by the Newberry Cafe and enjoy their Mexican specialties. They feature all the standard menu items and prepare them with the freshest ingredients cooked to perfection. This trip i enjoyed two chicken (no salt request) that were absutely delicious. They take great pride in their food and service. It always a pleasure to dine at the Newberry Cafe. I do want to thank the people who were extremely gracious to accommodate my no salt requirement.

Good food made fresh to order and timely by a very nice man. I used a card, which he ran thru his phone to process, which was fine, but then when it prompted a tip the default choices started at 18% and went up. I tried several times to customize tip to a round dollar amount and was unable after several attempts...that was a turn off. Who tips 18% or more at was the equivalent of a food truck inside of a gas station? ⛽
Lastly, no fountain soda available, not even in the gas station.
