I've been coming here for a long time and its usually always good. The other day however, I got an al pastor (pork) burrito and the meat at the very bottom of my burrito was literally carbon, way way way overcooked likely forgotten at the bottom of the pan for a long time. It had a crunch to it like the sensation of collapsing charcoal wood, tasted awful and smelled bad. I was fairly disappointed in experiencing that but I'm usually not one to complain. The upside of this is that the food is usually much more reliably decent the vast majority of the time so this was a rare occurrence. But I think this has happened once before just not as bad, and for a pretty popular spot, I feel like it should be slightly improving if anything.
The salsa bar is probably the biggest gem here, you can have as much you like, salsas are delicious and I love it. Only downside to that part, the chips are usually too oily. I have noticed a "B" grade before from the health dept which is depressing. I wish they had limes instead of lemons which seems rare now but that could be a seasonal thing, not sure. Hopefully the next few visits will be better and I'll remove this. I still love this place
The food was very good. I had the el pastor and let me tell you it was amazing. Please check it out you won't be disappointed.
Great food. Good prices. Clean booths. Unlimited chips and salsa.
