Shogun Rancho Cucamonga

Food is excellent, service is pretty good. I ordered online, and set a pickup time of 6:10. I received a text at 5:40 that my order was ready, well before I was able to pick it up. When I got there, I had to wait another 5+ minutes to get food. Not sure what the hold-up was. That said, this was our second time and loved the food both times. Would order from there again.

While visiting family in Cali from Chicago, I wanted to try a place with a good seafood hibachi option. I was not disappointed!! The food was amazing!! The drinks were good also!! The chef did very well to customize our orders and I was super happy!! I'd definitely visit again!!

Went on a Sunday evening with reservations for 6 pm to celebrate my son and husband's birthdays. We arrived at 6:10, and had to wait about 20 minutes. Food was good, as expected. Service was good as well. Waitress brought ice cream with candle out for my husband and a cake with ice cream for my son and sang happy birthday. The issue we had was with our chef. He had zero personality, didn't barely speak to us and did absolutely nothing to entertain us. No "show" as most would expect for a tappan grill restaurant. He literally cooked the food and left. Later, we saw him doing a onion volcano and shrimp flipping into the mouth for another table. I was shocked as we got nothing at all. My husband complained to the manager who gave us a $25 gift card to try them again. For $30+ a plate, it isn't too much to expect some form of entertainment. So it is undecided if we will be back but the food was good overall. Spending $400 for 8 people for a basic meal and nothing much more, we could have gone anywhere. ????????‍♀️

Just had an awesome lunch cooked by chef John. Super entertaining and fast. Everything was delicious. Only complaint/suggestion would be more waitresses on opening shift. Ours was a bit too all over the place, took a while to get our bill, pay it and get our card returned to us. Other then that great experience and we will be coming back!

Love love love!! Delicious food, friendly service, and although I am unable to have an alcoholic beverage right now, they had plenty of different drink choices. From beer, to mixed drinks to mock punches and sodas. This location is fairly new and we look forward to coming more often!
