This restaurant is nice for a newly opened establishment and has some pretty mellow vibes if that’s what you’re looking for. First, some of the negatives… The table was lopsided causing a distraction which may seem minute but when the Moscow Mules are close to $20 and a burger is over $40 the tables should be straight. Bathrooms also were a point of contention for us. Odor and a cheep feel shouldn’t be apart of a place like this. Positives: The water was filtered which to us is a big deal! The service was on point no interrupted conversation and the knowledge of the food was there. Food tasted great and the menus offered a bunch for everyone!
No lines! No waiting! Super friendly staff! Amazing food! Tried "The Cut" burger with a side of bone marrow (extra) and fries with truffle and garlic (extra) 😋 👌 😍SOOOOOOO GOOD I have to warn y'all, this is not your everyday go to burger joint (pricey 😬) BUT if you are tired of eating at the same places in Victoria Gardens and would like to try something new, try this place. I do want to come back and try their brunch menu 😋
We came during its soft opening. Based in Victoria Gardens, we were attracted by its ambience while walking by. It has both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar area. Parking is easy as there's plenty of parking garages as well as parking lots and street parking.
All the appetizers on the menu sounded delicious and we went with the bone marrow toast. While it tasted like most others we've had, the toast with the caramelized onions and the pickled onions added a different taste combination which was pleasant.
My wife got the banh mi, which had excellent meat and good amount of vegetables. I got The Cut burger, which is their 60-day dry aged rib eye patty with 2-year aged white cheddar. This I would definitely say was the star of the meal. Not only could you taste the meat quality, but also the juiciness of the burger was apparent. And yet, I think the best part of the burger might have been the white cheddar. Not only did the cheese enhance the funk of the dry aged burger but if you're lucky you also got a little bit of the cheese lace from the flat top. It's not cheap ($40) but well worth its price.
We ended our meal with a delightful sticky date pudding, which was not too sweet and was quite delicious. They do not have their liqueur license yet but given the quality of their mocktails I have a feeling their drinks are going to be high quality. Overall, a very nice restaurant that we will definitely come back for more.
Visited this new restaurant in Victoria Gardens. Food is delicious but I will say the menu is limited which is why I gave it 4 stars. Our server was very attentive and the bartender produced a great smoked old fashioned. I'll be back for sure.
What a beautiful addition to Victoria Gardens’ restaurant scene.
I just found out yesterday from my sister about The Cut - Rancho Cucamonga’s soft opening and we came out to try their Weekend Brunch Menu this Sunday morning. We are fans of The Cut burgers in Irvine and so we had to give them a try.
LOCATION
The Cut is located in the Victoria Gardens shopping center across from H&M - near the Nike and Lululemon corner stores.
PARKING
There are plenty of parking around Victoria Gardens but will require some walking. There are metered, street/store-front, and free parking throughout this shopping center.
INTERIOR / AMBIANCE
I love the simple design here but I especially like the open space. The high-vaulted ceiling creates a bigger space for what would be a small restaurant. The floor space seems bigger here than the Irvine location. I like that this restaurant is positioned so as not to get direct sunlight but still have a lot of natural light coming in. This is a definite plus in my book!
SEATING
They have indoor and outdoor (patio) dining available and the hostess gave us the option of where we preferred to to sit. They have tables that can easily connect to accommodate 2 guests or more and they also have booths along the perimeter of the restaurant.
FOOD / DRINKS
Prior to my arrival, I had my heart set on ordering one of their beloved burgers. However, after discovering that they had a complete different menu (with a few of the classic items from the Irvine location), I knew I had to try something different. We were offered their Weekend Brunch Menu and here’s what we ordered:
* Chicken & Waffles - Excellent! The chicken breast was perfectly breaded and crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside. It came with a side of maple syrup but had a stickier sauce reminiscent of a sticky toffee/caramel-like texture.
* Truffle & Brie Burger - Just like The Cut - Irvine location’s classic burger, this was was unctuous and rich, and full of umami.
* Black Truffle Mac & Cheese - Get it! It’s so good! We shared this and we all cleaned up the little cast iron it came in! Haha
* Chocolate Chip Pancakes - This was a bit pricey for 2 pancakes; however, it tasted a bite and it was actually surprisingly good!
* Sweet & Spicy Burger - I didn’t get a picture of this but my brother-in-law enjoyed the burger!
* Garlic Confit Hand-Cut Fries - We love a lot of garlic and this delivered!
* Mimosa - Free cocktail during Soft Opening! This was thoroughly enjoyed!
* Bloody Mary - Free cocktail during Soft Opening! Score!
SERVICE
Our hostess, Lex, also our server and she was great! By the way, I loved the staff uniform here. Black aprons - totally fits the restaurant’s trendy vibe!
Overall, I’m so happy to see The Cut in the Inland Empire. Everyone enjoyed the food and we will most likely be back! I’d love to come back to check out and try their regular menu offerings!
