Tacos are not bad for the price. They have taco specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but the times are between 8 a.m.-8 p.m. The place could use an update. The cashier was very friendly when we ordered. Got our food pretty quickly.

    TACO ENTHUSIAST HERE

I've been trying many taco places all over southern California. Tacos Mexico is a place that I grew up with in the Los angeles area so coming back to one was nostalgic. I remember loving these tacos growing up so I did come with high hopes.
Overall it was a pleasant experience. We had quick friendly service. Our tacos were hot. Tortilla was lightly oiled. I tried asada, al pastor, and carnitas.
The carnitas was my favorite. It was a bit on the oily side but I prefer that over dried carnitas any day. They have good flavor and consistency.

The asada was almost disappointing. It was cooked well(not overcooked like a lot of places do) but the flavor wasnt all there. A powder seasoning is obvious and it just isn't the same as a marinade.

The pastor was the most disappointing. It didnt really taste like al pastor. Tasted more like a sweet pulled pork you would eat in a bbq sandwich. And still the flavor in the marinade was bland.

Not a bad experience for a chain store. The fact that it is a chain store guarantees some consistency so that is a plus. Tacos are reasonably priced and they are open late.

Dont expect too much and come hungry and these tacos will not disappoint. If you're looking for amazing tacos or even just great tacos I recommend you look elsewhere.
