So my first time eating here. Yams on point. The mac and cheese could have used a little more cheese **I get soul food but maybe some soul food with a flare, maybe different cheeses?. Maybe some jalapeños** Definitely needed a little more seasoning. Potato salad was my least favorite. Greens on point. Bakes beans on point. Catfish was good. The pulled pork sandwich was amazing.
I just think the portion sizes were not equal. I had enough sides for another meat. Now I know that sounds like a weird complaint but it is one because I wish I had more of that delicious catfish.
I do wish they made their own tartar sauce. Over all 4/5 for a few minor things. But if I wanted it my way I would cook it. Right.
I done sat here and ate one rib and fell in love. Ms.Carrie asked me if I'd been there before and I said no and she said, very confidently, "oh you'll be back" and she ain't lyin. I literally just finished licking my fingers as I type this! Lawrd! Finally, descent BBQ out here in the boons. Love it!
the place has been renovated and cleaned up. the food was the same as it was before closing.
rib tip lunch with baked beans. mac and cheese could use some seasonings.
will be going back
Food was good however, I was charged at the three meat combo price for two dinners when I only ordered the two meat combo. I paid 49 something n my bill should have been under 40 bucks. I thought it was a tad high but the neighborhood isn't the best so I was more concerned with leaving at the time. Was the food good? Um.....it was so so.
Nice place. Served by the owner. It's like a modest BBQ Joint dropped in the middle of San Bernardino.
