The Hat

Pastrami is fantastic and highly recommended. I've seen their order of pastrami fries feed a family of four. My personal recommendation is a large order of fries cooked "well-done."

Wet pastrami fries. Need I say more? I can never finish the damn things but I'll order them every time I go there. Absolutely delicious

What? Did someone say "Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries." YES, please..... ???? Wash it down with an ice cold orange bang! Delicious! The line maybe long but it's worth the wait. If you're short on time, call your order in ahead or order online.

I saw the billboard for The Hat and stopped in. The place is clean, well-lit and service was prompt. I had the Pastrami dip sandwich with no bun so the meat was placed in a tray and topped with pickles and mustard and horseradish sauce on the side. Although the meat was delicious as it hit the expected salty and savory notes, I expected the meat to be hot, not lukewarm, hence the 4 stars.

Wonderful Pastrami sandwiches as always. I've never tried anything else on their menu except the fries which are also excellent, but I'm sure it's all great. They have burgers and chili and roast beef too. Plenty of different kinds of drinks from soda to iced tea to lemonade. Very casual dining and a drive-up window. There are several stores all over So Cal, all with the same menu
In business since 1951. Highly recommended.
