The food is wicked delicious, the "hand pressed tortillas" are worth getting (to eat there and bring a stash for home), the girl working the front as well as the chef and rest of the staff were super attentive. We got pork belly nachos with their hand-pressed tortillas, miso pork belly tacos and chimichurri carne asada tacos and all delicious. Sad we couldn't get their mini donuts (sold out!). They also gave us a free churro waffle for the wait! Thumbs up to the team for their attentiveness.

The place had a kind of weird set inside (like they didn't do too much to set up from its previous life as a pop up) in a non-descript strip mall that didn't leave too much for ambience, but the girl at the front said it's been so busy and at capacity that they'll most likely be moving to another location soon.

BONUS: They're at the Altadena farmers market every Wednesday so I got my fix of fresh tortillas. My mom is still dreaming of them since I only got a half dozen. I'll be going back next week to get the nachos.

This place is amazing. They grind the masa in house and press every tortilla and chip themselves. Great flavor. Very friendly staff.

If your looking for a good hole-in-the-wall place that serves a great brunch, and takes pride in preparing delicious food for their customers, this is the place for you.

This is a small mom & pop shop located in the same strip mall as Kishi. Don't expect to walk into a nicely decorated restaurant with nice furniture and booths. No, no, this place just has tables, chairs and one TV playing soft music from a lap top. But what this place does have is a owner in Allan who is also the chef and prepares every dish to perfection. The menu isn't very extensive, but I can see why. They take their time preparing every single dish.

We ordered the Cachapas (cornmeal pancake), churro waffle, and chilaquiles. We also ordered chips and guacamole. Everything was so tasty and hot off the press! The churro waffle was amazing. It's deep fried and tossed in brown sugar. The cornmeal pancake wasn't too fluffy. It had a very slight toasty taste to it. Just like I like them. The chilaquiles came with black beans and a little bit of a kick to them so beware. The chips with the guacamole was also on point! My son looked at the chips a little weird, but when he tasted them he devoured them.

The food can be a little bit of a wait. Be patient with the servers as I noticed they were falling behind a bit. I was disappointed that all of our food came at different times. My food came first, and as I was finishing up, then my son received his food. A few minutes later, once the rest of us were all done eating, my wife received her plate. We would have preferred our food all at the same time, but then it might of gotten cold sitting in the back.

I look forward to my next visit at Chisme Tortilleria so that I can try some of their tacos. If their tortillas are as good as their chips, oh my goodness I can't wait!
