Being from India, I just shared a meal with my family members, for the first time, since their opening, and enjoyed the food, friendliness of the staff, and the service, and would certainly eat there again and also recommend anyone to try their excellent menu of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
This place has always been good but has come under new ownership recently. You can get an entree for a decent enough price around 14-15 but something new that's been changed is the sides like rice or bread are 4 bucks each which seems a little high for some empty carbs. So by the time you add a small tip for carry out, you're looking at close to 27 dollars at least for a meal, rice and bread. I do hope they succeed but ease the cost structure of the sides a bit. Many food places are feeling the pinch these days but a couple scoops of cooked white rice doesn't need to cost 4 dollars which used to be included. The garlic nan bread is almost justified, very tasty. Everything has been well made here before. Changing your out the door cost for something that used to be 23 to 27+ overnight is a big deal for your customers and anyone with business sense would agree
I was skeptical when we pulled in front of the restaurant as Indian restaurants are always hit and miss, no matter the reviews. But this one was a winner, hands down!!! The place is humble but clean, food is authentic, home-cooked style and absolutely delicious. It brought back childhood memories of eating piping hot fresh food served at "Dhabas" (Truckstops) in Northern India. They offer rare dishes like Sarson da saag and Makki di roti and Pakorewali kadhi cooked to perfection and served with fresh-churned white butter. Once I saw these on the menu, I knew I had come to the right place because rarely do Indian restaurants list these on the menu. More than anything, this restaurant is a treasure trove of finger-licking delectable vegetarian (& vegan) dishes. They are so flavorful, meat-lovers won't even miss the meat! The Punjabi chole was cooked to melt in your mouth served with Bhatura. And, the Palak paneer was perfectly spiced. The spice level can be requested mild, medium or hot per your preference. Service is friendly and quick with members of the family serving dishes with warmth and a smile. Our order arrived in 15 minutes. Dishes are priced very reasonably, and portions are fairly generous with left-overs to enjoy again depending on how ravenous you are. We would make the 2 hour drive again just to patronize this restaurant. Highly recommend!!
The staff is very welcoming as always. The food had such great flavor and it doesn’t miss. Service was really good. The dosas have good flavor especially for the masala and the sambar that comes with it. The chole bhature didn’t miss either I definitely recommend. 10/10
Such great service and environment is very warm. I had the rava masala dosa as well as an order of tandoori paneer tikka dry. My friends had garlic chilli naan with malai kofta and palak paneer. Such great flavors and spices. I recommend it here and will be back soon!!
