We come here at least once a month. The food is great and so are the chips and salsa. Most of the time the service is good.
Good place to chill and be served. Great looking plates. Food a bit salty but good. I would go again with friends.
Happy National Margarita Day! Good service at the bar. Good appetizers and salsas. Not sure about the regular food. Fajitas smell delicious but I never eat from regular menu
The food was great. I got flautas, which I hadn't had before, and they were very soft and tasted great. The beans, rice, chips and guacamole all seemed to be made fresh in house, along with the flour tortillas that came with the heaping steak fajitas. The two musicians were also very skilled, and sounded great, despite me not knowing much Spanish. I will definitely be coming here again.
I was taken to Murrieta's Mexican Restaurant by two close friends of mine and I thought that it was one of the best Mexican restaurants that I have eaten at in the whole County of San Diego.
The inside was made up of myriad different types of polished wood with all kinds of Mexican styles of artwork...just really classic. There were the old style leather booths and plants everywhere. The din of the lights and light Spanish music made Murrieta's a great place to relax and enjoy a menu with many orderves and some uniquely Mexican food ; you can get lost in the number of menu choices.
I had a cheese enchilada and a beef enchilada and it was delicious. My two friends had different dishes that are quite popular.
We had lemon and strawberry margaritas-the kind with salt around the lip of the glasses- which were really good.
Their chips were unique because each one was quite thin, instead of the typical thick "tooth crackers." In fact, it would be nice if more restaurants and manufacturers made their chips like Murrieta's. They were also were served with a bowl of thick red sauce ( The chips and bowls of red sauce come with the meals; they also have green sauce).
I suggest that you try this restaurant for yourself if you or you and your friends want some of the best Mexican food in town.
I could say a lot more but, I highly recommend that you seek out this restaurant for yourselves. and you be glad that you did!
It's a great place to relax and get away from this fast paced world and is located near the Bonita area.
