California Sushi

I've eaten sushi in Japan so I might have a different standard. The ambiance and flair are about what you'd expect but much different that an actual sushi bar in Kyoto. The flavors of each piece of fish are nearly identical. Which again, was about what you'd expect from fish that has been refrigerated for so long. I give them four stars for effort, but considering the name of the place, I'd have liked to have seen more effort put forward on the actual sushi.

I love their jalapenos appetizers! Best in town! Food is really good. they also have lunch specials which afe really cheap. Nice place located in downtown Chula Vista. Always enjoy a good dinner or lunch followed by a nice walk in downtown.

Our first visit here was 25 mins before closing. I asked if we ordered everything we wanted, before last call, could we get served. They agreed and it was great. The food was served quickly and the servers were very nice.

I love this place very much! And the Mexican taco I recommend, excellent service and all very friendly. Thank you so much ❤️????
