Miguel's Cocina

If you visit San Diego Coronado, you must come to Miguel's Cocina. This is the best Mexican restaurant I ever had. The Torta is laced with BBQ sauce on the bun to make it exotic. Absolutely good! Make America great again!

Been to SD three times. Been to Miguel’s Cocina on Coronado three times. Will keep coming back. Love the food. Love the atmosphere and service. And love Coronado. It’s our happy place. Keep it up, Miguel’s! And ask for Solano!

SERVICE

Wow! Talk about an attentive group of servers and additional staff. My cup was never empty, my chips were always full, salsa was sufficiently provided, and there was a smile on everyone’s face. There is not much more details I can provide other than I rate the service here as Five-Star Service.

FOOD

Another wow! Not a single person in my party complained about their food. The food was seasoned to perfection. Flavors intermingled with each other creating a taste of authentic Mexican Cuisine (Mexican American of course). The portion size was perfect, leaving me full, but not over stuffed.

ATMOSPHERE

The atmosphere was as one would thing a Mexican Restaurant would be. However, this was a classy restaurant. The music was loud enough to hear it but not too loud that it drowned out our dinner conversation. The decor was authentic to the area.

It was the perfect spot to have a small bite on a Friday afternoon on a sunny ☀️ winter day. Sat outside on one of the small sidewalk tables. Got there about 3:30 PM and had no problem finding a seat and was able to enjoy happy hour prices for a good selection of drinks and food. Lots of small bites to choose from. We sat on one of the few sidewalk tables and enjoyed the view immensely. Street parking can get crowded but we found a spot with metered parking for only $.25 an hour.

We loved Miguel’s! The outside patio is very unique and such a fun atmosphere. We ordered fish tacos and the Mexican Cobb Salad...both were great! We loved the endless chips, salsa & queso. We will definitely be back next time we visit Coronado. Also, although we didn’t have our children with us, it is a very family friendly place.
