Las Olas

Arrived at peak dinner time without a reservation! Wait was about 20 minutes. They welcomed us to wait in the entryway but not without grabbing chips & salsa from the bar to enjoy while we waited. Got seated in about 10. Server was great and the food enjoyable. The manager even stopped by and helped with the word scramble.

Love Las Olas! Sat on the patio enjoying a warm day, good lunch and a cocktail with a friend. Perfect way to follow up our hike at the Torrey Pines Reserve.

Pros: Great and friendly service, large portions, great location and ambiance and the tortilla chips are delicious.

Cons: The margarita flight is such a good idea but was underwhelming, I really wanted it to be better though it looked good to the eye it wasn't mixed properly. The food was bland. I feel like I could've gotten tastier food at a small cheap taco shop and not paid triple the cost. So bummed this wasn't better ;(

I would describe this restaurant as busy, friendly, a little crowed and fun. We had a above average meal there. I guess it was the half lobster! I think the hustle and bustle atmosphere added to the foods flavor. lol. We had a good lunch and it was a fun stop for us to make.
