Fish 101 Leucadia

Nice place. Good food. VERY LIMITED SEATING, so be prepared to get your food to go. We got a seat when we eat, but was by chance. -1 * for seating, otherwise affordable (by SoCal standards) food and good.

Perfect little spot in Leucadia for fish and beer. My group had the fish po'boy, fish tacos, shrimp ceviche and kids cheeseburger sliders. Everyone was very pleased. I had the fish tacos and would put them in my top 3 list of best fish tacos, without a doubt. The secret is the white sauce...delicious. Very child and dog friendly. I suggest stopping in at odd times, if possible, as it is a smaller place and can get very busy. We got there right as they opened at 11:30 and were good, but by 12:15, the line was out the door and all the seats were filled. Well worth the wait though. They also serve beer, wine and even had a dry cider available.

This place is a gem. Hands down the most efficient, accommodating and friendly staff I've experienced in years. It is counter service, but they could teach servers at fancy restaurants how it's done. Oh yea, the food is amazing. Get the grilled fish baja tacos and the grilled shrimp cocktail.

Super place for fresh seafood. Highly recommend the fish tacos, fresh fish plate, and chowder. Prices are reasonable for the quality offered. A bonus is the good selection of beers, both on tap and in bottles. Had lunch here and recommend that you arrive early (they open at 11:30am) to avoid the rush.

Visiting from up north. Food was delicious (I had poke bowl, group had tacos). Portion size was reserved (I was expecting larger for the cost, but it was filling and fresh). Lots of good flavor and texture. They were allergy conscious and accommodated my allergies no problem. Service was friendly and prompt. Props to cashier for bring knowledgeable about ingredients! I would definitely come back. Dessert menu indicated gluten free ingredients but had dairy.
