Enjoyed the food, especially being a vegetarian!! People were pleasant, very friendly, and generous portions! They claim to use vegetable oil, not Lard for their cooking. They had tofu for protein option for the burrito, bowl, or taco!!
Really cool concept for a Mexican restaurant. Everything is relating to the famous corn in a cup and the flavors here are amazing. You can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients and the price shows it. Not the cheapest "taco shop" but they do have a large indoor seating area so you get what you pay for. Customer service could be a bit friendlier but I'm not complaining too much about it. Definitely a spot to check out at least once
This is seriously some of the best food I've ever had. I got a tofu burrito, and I haven't had anything this good in a long time. My boyfriend got one of their adobada quesadillas, and it looked amazing. He said it was incredible. This place is pretty new, but they know what they're doing with their food for sure. The staff was kind and helpful. There's a little bit of a wait for the food (like 5 minutes), but not bad. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.
I would have taken a photo but I ate everything so fast. I love you elotes and they can be hard to find. I will definitely be returning here
So far so good.
Being vegan, I always appreciate establishments that make an effort to offer wholesome, plant-based options. (Whether the gesture is big or small, genuine or contrived is a different aspect which we can dive deeper into on another occasion).
Back to the food. I got a couple of burritos with tofu and all the optional add-ins, except of course the dairy items. I was relieved and delighted to see that they make the effort to grill and lightly season their tofu, as opposed to just slapping cold cubes of plain tofu in order to claim that they're appealing to the plant-based crowd.
Portions were generous and salsa was flavorful. It reminded me a little of Taco Del Mar (does that chain still exist?). Price was reasonable (I believe I was charged $8.50 per burrito). Ample parking, friendly service and relatively easy to get in and out of the shopping area where it's located.
