OK after our night at cruizin grand. We decided to finally give Fridas a try. Line was growing, but it went fast. We got a fresh horchata that was delicious. Inside where salsa is, was extremely hot from all the cooking. Be ware they have some hot salsa. Even the green. But if you like it hot then yes, you will love these salsa bar options. It was clean and well kept. Pepino and radishes were fresh and crisp. They have bags and lots of salsa cups.
Now the food, mu husband got a mula, cheese wasn't melted at all. The rest of us like adobada. The meat is fine chopped and cooked well. The seasoning was light, and let me tell you grease was dripping on the plate and down my wrist. It was extremely greasy. Just view the photos. If you don't care for the salsas your taco will be a little bland. The fresh guacamole was nice and creamy, just lacking flavor. I suppose if you do like the salsas it will definitely spruce up the whole taco flavor. Atmosphere was poppin' and it's complete with a DJ playing the loud music. If you like that kind of thing this is the place for you. Hot salsa loud music lovers dream. Haha. Not a place we'd want to go back. But it was nice to finally try. Overall clean atmosphere. Fun and lively.

Amazing taco and burrito shop in Escondido. Food was delicious and fresh. My burrito was extremely flavorful with fresh squeezed juices and a large salsa bar.

This restaurant gets very busy. The way they work is you go make one line inside to order everything you wish to have. Then, depending on what you ordered, there are two other lines. One inside for nachos and asada fries, the other outside for tacos, mulitas, etc. The place is small, so it gets very crowded with the lines, plus there is barely any ventilation. When we went, there was no air conditioning or fans or anything. It was very hot inside and outside the place. Since it was busy, the tables weren't being clean fast enough, which cause flies to be everywhere outside. Also, in their menu, they show that they have baked potatoes, but they seem to have a certain schedule to order as we were told that they weren't available yet at noon.
The flavor of food was good ; the nachos and aguas were the best.

Very good taqueria overall. A bit of a pain having to wait in one line to order, then another outside to present your receipt and get your food. The Al Pastor and Grilled Chicken in the tacos was very good, but not especially tasty. Tacos automatically come with a fat dollop of Guacamole. Chips cost extra, but at least they're freshly made to order, and hot. Salsa bar very good with two green and three red sauces, limes, and veggies, but unfortunately no orange/habanero sauce. When you get your food, ask for Jalapenos and you'll get two nicely roasted ones along with some sauteed onions.

Finally got around to eating at this place after so many recommendations and I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely fantastic and the aguas frescas were delicious and not too sweet. We ordered our tacos and were then directed outside to have them made right in front of us. The salsa bar was fully stocked with tasty salsas, veggies, and limes. Great atmosphere, staff and food. Would highly recommend!
