This is a review of the hot spring pool and restaurant. The pools and relaxing courtyard were elegant, clean, and just what we wanted for a relaxing anniversary afternoon. Delicious and creative cocktails served poolside as well as a bar food menu. Lots of clean fluffy towels provided and changing rooms were spa-like. Dinner at the restaurant exceeded expectations. Vegan and vegetarian options were few but so tasty! Very kind servers and cozy, elegant ambiance. We eat out a lot and this was one of the best vegetarian meals we have had at an omnivore restaurant in San Diego area. The chef knows good flavor profiles, for sure!! Can’t wait to come back.
Pure bliss. What an absolute gem. Everything about the hotel feels so special and intentional. Incredible value for the experience you get. I booked a night at the La Ranchita house and was able to use the hot springs as early as 9AM as I waited to check in. We had snacks and drinks by the pool which were delicious. The service here is excellent too. All the facilities are incredibly clean and beautiful. I could live in the bar/restaurant (dinner + cocktails were excellent too!!).
La Ranchita itself is gorgeously-decorated with stunning views of the desert. I already can’t wait to be back. As much as I want to keep this gem my little secret, I want this new business to thrive so I will be telling everyone I know about it.
Gorgeously designed desert retreat with relaxing vibe. Somebody has fabulous taste in music! Record players and amazing (unheard of) records are provided in the rooms. What a wonderful place to kick back, soak, eat and spend a night. Ahhhhh
Such a unique and awesome place! My bf and I stopped here on a whim on our way from San Diego to Phoenix and this chic little desert oasis did not disappoint! You can also tell a lot of work and care goes into maintaining the property as everything was so neat, clean and beautifully decorated despite being in the middle of nowhere. We had brunch in the restaurant and the food and drinks were incredible. The absolute best chilaquiles I’ve ever had. We popped over to the bar afterwards which had such a cool dark and moody vibe, and the craft cocktails were delicious. The staff is also all so friendly, and they remember your name and use it- which always makes a huge impression on me. We can’t wait to come back and stay for a few days as hotel guests and check out the hot springs and other amenities!
Hotel has been nicely renovated. Many nice touches, although it might be a bit too much of a hipster vibe for some boring old boomers. Nice big warm pool and warmer indoor hot tub (could be hotter for my taste). The restaurant is excellent.
