Awesome burritos and flavorful salsa.I ordered a California with pollo asado, and they nailed it. Fluffy tortilla, melted cheese, fluffy fries, perfectly grilled pollo, served rapidly and warm, wrapped correctly so nothing falls out. they ask if you want everything on it - pico and guac. Got the green salsa, wasnt too hot but had a very savory flavor. They even have grilled yellow Chiles at the salsa bar, which are quite nice and I've never seen that before. Friendly customers.

their napkins are at the front counter which can be a little cumbersome during busy hours, luckily you don't really need them because the food isn't dripping like some restaurants. Whoever is in the back hasn't stopped intermittently banging what sounds like Tupperware for the 30 minutes I was there, but I guess that brings the nostalgia of a real Mexican restaurant. No music except what they play for themselves

I've heard their customer service is lacking on the bookends of their business hours, but busy times like lunch they are great and authentic.

I don't write reviews unless I loved it or hated it. 6 stars for authenticity.

Good but pricey, my favorite is the machaca plate.

It's not called Jose's taco depot. It's called Jose's taco shop. One of the best taco shops you can go to in Oceanside

The carne asada burritos are really good and they're big. Everything seems fresh I just wish they had more of a selection at their salsa bar take a few different types of hot guy says it's either really hot Rojo or mild Verde so something in between for both would be nice and then bigger chunks fresh or chunks of carrots. Otherwise always seems clean there pretty fast have eaten there many times. Also, the three rolled tacos are pretty good to wish they gave you the option of chicken or beef not just beef.
