Frida’s Taqueria Oceanside

Went in for the first time, no wait time just before the lunch rush. Clean, friendly staff and the food is GREAT! I had the Pollo asado baked potato. Mmmm, was that delicious! My husband had tacos ( Carne asada), although he said they were ok. He seemed to really enjoy them, in my opinion. I also had the ( agua fresca de pepino y limon) Cucumber lemon water with pulp) He had jamica, which was fantastic!. Agua frescas had the right amount of sweetness to them. Will return and let our friends know! (See picture my potato was loaded with goodness.)

This place just opened in the plaza next to seven eleven on mission. I believe it’s part of a chain of taco fast casual restaurants. There’s plenty of parking in there lot outside and there is also some outside seating set up under a tent. When you walk in there is cool music playing and neon lights by the restroom. You can see the cooks behind a glass wall putting together all the tacos and burritos from fresh ingredients. Their menu is fairly limited but it has all the standards. Also an extensive selection of juices and drinks. I got a Horchata that was really good and it was huge. They do not serve any alcohol . Just juices and bottles of soda. Tacos were all really good and we got them with everything on them. I will say we got the chicken and the carne Asada and both were pretty spicy. I like spicy so I enjoyed them but if you aren’t a spicy person maybe get the salsa on the side. Great addition to the neighborhood. Will be back for sure.

Odd little setup but really delicious food. There are 11 Agua Frescas. It is like fast service Mexican with a subway spin.

The best Mexican food in Oceanside. Portions are big and at a fair price. Had their carne asada burrito and it was the best I've ever had. Has a nice char flavor to it and no hard tendons. Menu is limited but you can't go wrong. Definitely will return.

Loved the aesthetics and design of this place. The drinks and horchatas were made fresh, the food was made as soon as you were ready to eat. The carne was a tad bit salty but the guacamole made up for it. Very fresh sides and everything was tolerable and delicious. The tacos and nachos seem to be the hit here, the burrito dissolved and the fries were a little too hard.
