O'Brien's Boulangerie

Always a great experience! Breads are fresh baked and delicious. Personal service and very friendly. Too much made in House to list. The flavors are on point and selection is wonderful. Fresh made coffee or tea can be flavored with custom syrups. Thos is quickly becoming a favorite to return to every time I am in San Diego. Looking forward to the next time I am in town so I can try something new. Something tells me it will be satisfying!

Update. I have been here several times now and the service is great. All of the food I have tried has been delicious. The Cobb salad is my favorite and they give a generous portion. The desserts are good and they have a large variety. I really like all of their iced coffees. Be sure to go early if you're going for a specific dessert.

Had lunch there the other day on recommendation from a friend. We ordered a variety of things and had two different experiences. My buddy really liked the place. Said the coffee was pretty good and so was the bread. For lunch he order the Ruben which had corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, and Russian dressing, all on a grilled rye. Have to admit that sandwich was really good!!! For me I got the Meatball sandwich which was meatballs with marinara, provolone, on a French roll. For me it was just okay. Nothing sorry memorable about other than it was very cheesy. The bread was good however I like my bread toasted on the outside and soft on the inside but that just a personal preference. What was a big turnoff for me was the service in that I waited my turn in line and when I got up to the register another person walked in after me and wanted something out from the glass display. Fine I continued to wait until another customer did that again. At one point they had 3 employees helping one customer until I finally asked if one of them could help me as I've been waiting. Anyway the whole thing kinda turned me off to the place. 3 stars from me but 5 from my friend thus the 4 star rating

Not a lot of seating though, so don't bring large groups unless you're ordering to go.

Amazing eating experience, the prices are definitely reasonable for what you get. From walking in the door and being greeted by the friendly and helpful employees. Meal was served at an excellent taste, the texture and flavor of the avocado toast was absolutely satisfying and delicious. The coffee products are all at first rate, I had the iced vanilla latte, and it was absolutely fantastic, this place was an unforgettable experience not to be missed.
