    Good carne asada burrito. Salsas are fresh and delicious. Small inside but they have outside seating too.

    Hands down, the BEST Mexican restaurant we've been to in a while! The food was hot, fresh, and amazing with huge portions that were extremely well priced! The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean and had several tables full of happy patrons.
    Thank you, we'll be back!

    THE BEST FISH BURRITO IN SAN DIEGO! I have gotten so many fish burritos from here, it's literally all I come for and I never get sick of them. Service is fast and courteous!

    For over 20 years we have ordered takeout at Jalapenos and always felt that we were receiving a decent meal for the price. During the last several months we have had an issue with a meal in the order being incorrect. Also, the size of burritos can be inconsistent where they are large and full or more narrow to the point my college age son has been commenting on "what happened to their burritos?"

    Lastly, the prices have all gone up to the point that we are now going elsewhere for takeout Mexican food. When we can go over to 4S Ranch and dine in at a nice Mexican restaurant for almost the same price it was time to change. It is too bad because Jalapenos is a cute place with pleasant employees.
