Benchmarks tasting room is finally open! Benchmark has some of the best craft beers in San Diego (seriously, look up the huge list of awards they have). IPAs, IIPAs, Brown Ales, Blonde Ales, Pilsners (mouth watering), Belgians, Scotch Ales, Stouts (life changing stout!), etc, etc, theyve got a beer for everyone.
This place is awesome and is becoming the Bay Park locals hangout. Dog, Kid and Family friendly. Rad little front patio and bay breeze.
The owners Matt and Rachel Akin are San Diego natives and the most fun loving and upbeat people youll ever meet. Chat with them over a beer and youll quickly realize how much they love craft beer and the local San Diego community.
This place is a must stop if youre around Bay Park and in need of a beer!
UPDATE: The rear beer garden patio with fire pit and indoor/outdoor seating is open!

I like their slogan "beer-tasting beer." It's subtle, but what it means to me is that the focus is always on how good the beer tastes. I like their new location because of how open it is and I particularly like the "porch." In fact I just wish it was larger.
