Studio Diner

This is my Dad’s favorite breakfast place. He’s been a regular here for years. I’ve moved out of the area. Yet when I visit my parents, without a doubt, I always know I’ll be coming here at least once. Their food is decent. I can’t say it is out of this world or unique. It is just your basic breakfast menu similar to a Denny’s (in my opinion). The quality of the staff is quite a bit higher though than Denny’s. I have had lunch and dinner but typically go for the breakfast. If you are not particular about your breakfast options and want a quiet place to chat, this will do the trick.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while , finally had lunch there yesterday with the wife. All in all I think there food is tasty. Especially my wife's Ruben sandwich. It was delicious with lots of juicy lean pastrami and a little bit of sour kraut. I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. It had good flavor but I thought the portion would be larger. It filled me up but still think it was a little tiny. Wouldn't order it again. We also had mozzarella sticks. They were good but you only get 5 of them. I would recommend the Ruben and if I go back I would like to try the ham steak eggs Benedict. Who knows I make go back again some day. ????

Superbly awesome as always! Luv this place, .the food, .the service, .the atmosphere! One of my favorite places! Had chicken tortilla soup and mac n cheese which is the bomb! Ended it with a hot fudge brownie topped with vanilla ice cream! Luv luv this place!

Great place. Excellent food with big portions. Very friendly personal. I think this place is a jewel of San Diego and California. Highly recommend. And one more tip, people - use open veranda. View is great from there and there are portable heaters so you will not be cold.
