Lucha Libre Taco Shop

Seen this on TV a few times and said I have to make it there. We went there we had 5 in our party and there were no open tables. So we told the cashier we were gonna take our food to go and they open the "Golden booth" to us. If you don't know it's for championship wrestlers/celebrities to sit at when visiting this establishment. Which holds a high honor. They offered it to us and we felt special on every level. We had 2 children with Autism with us who felt super cool being able to sit there. It was a great experience. We were out of towners and they they didn't know and treated us like royalty. So glad I went . Would visit there again for sure.

Great Tacos, great prices, staff was friendly. Parking if a but of a challenge and this place is small, but if you have Lucha Libre on the brain, this is the place to go... I would definitely go back. For parking I think on India Street before Washington (east of Washington), kind of behind the gas station. Parking is metered, 2 hours max, and we did see traffic police person in there little scooter propelling amongst the spots.

Amazing! This place was recommended to me when I was looking for somewhere to eat in San Diego from a friend who had there for years. I am so happy we went! The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is even better. Portions were huge! Will definitely go again and would recommend.

Just wow! One of my new favorite taco joints. The surf and turf taco and the fish taco were both amazing. They are very large compared to most tacos which aligned to the relatively high price for a single taco resulting in a good overall value. Two tacos here are like four traditional tacos. The sauce bar is the perfect topper. They have several salsa choices, a creamy garlic cilantro (our fav), and of course the hot carrots. I only wish the had labels on the sauces to discern heat levels without requiring sampling them all. The dining area is small but the Mexican wrestling (Lucha Libre) theme was very cool and hip. The line is usually pretty long which is only a confirming sign that you are in store for something special and worth the wait. If you call ahead there is an express line but that is for carryout only.

Place was cool inside but it was very tiny and not much room to eat with friends. Food though the food was delicious. The meat is seasoned well and cook to perfection. Burrito was insanely good, I just wish they had a spicier sauce for the food. They were all very tasty don't get me wrong but I was looking for a bit more heat! Also free chips which you can never go wrong with free tortilla chips!
