Great Maple - La Jolla

I have been there 2 x and the maple bacon fat donut and chicken dish is unreal. Cant recommend it high enough. All other dishes looked great but havent tasted .....YET! Look forward to going back

My mom was visiting from overseas and was lost and tired. The staff very kindly contacted me to come and pick her up, made sure she had something to drink and generally went above and beyond to look after a senior citizen. Your kindness is much appreciated

I never write reviews under 5 stars but I actually feel like this place let me down. My sister ordered biscuits and gravy and because of guilt a side salad. They brought a salad with biscuits and gravy on it. Of course they fixed it. My actual let down was the BLT. Way too much bacon to have one thin slice of tomato shared between both halves. Small piece of lettuce....just one. The bread was super thick, greasy on the outside and crumbled like a crouton while trying to eat it. It was literally the worst BLT I have ever had. Not even edible. I tried to eat the bacon by itself. Our server never came back after dropping wrong biscuit salad until we got the check. My coffee was never refilled. I left my review on the check which is obnoxious, I know, but I have been in this industry for over 20 yrs and I dont think I will give them a second chance. The biscuit and gravy was pretty delicious and would have been better with potatoes.

The service was outstanding! The waiteress was very nice, and made sure any issues we had we're taken care of.

The burger was pretty good, but did have a meaty flavor. The meatiness was not over powering, and you could still enjoy the other flavors in the burger.

The mini grilled cheese was really good. There's a sweet dressing drizzled over them, and the cherry chutney added a whole new flavor to it.
