Country Waffles

Clean and busy. They have fast service wait was about 10 minutes. Worth it.

We left another place that was a 40min wait and stumbled upon this little hole in the wall place down the streey with great food. My husband and I thought it was better than expected. I had french toast with eggs, sausage, and country potatoes. It tasted homemade - loved it!!

I went there this morning at 7 am, it was empty so service was fast. It's an amerucan diner located right across from MCRD. I ordered poached eggs (they did a good job), New york steak, country potatoes, 1/2 a waffle, and tea with milk. Overall, the food was good, the place was clean and they give military discount. Recommended if you're staying in the area, want good quality waffles and faster service than a chain restaurant.

The service here was excellent! The food was standard American diner food, similar to Ihop or Denny’s. If you are looking for a no-frills breakfast, this is the place to go. It reminds me of the diners I would go to with my parents when I was young. I ordered bacon, eggs, hash browns and coffee. It was all served quickly and by a server with a great attitude.

Friendly staff. Lots of great things to choose from the menu. They serve breakfast and lunch. First time here in my entire life living in SD, and let me tell you it was delicious. Would definitely recommend to go. Its a little old fashion, but I think that's what makes this place special. Its very homey and calm. Great place to go alone for a quick bite, or with your family or friends. Would definitely come again.
