Little Thai Restaurant close to SDSU campus. Located very close to Zura hall. We ordered Thai fried rice and other few items. Service was pretty quick. Food was very tasty. Price was also reasonable.A good place for Thai food.
Thank you for taking my take-out order two minutes to closing! 55 Thai is my favorite restaurant. My boyfriend and I eat here regularly. I’m so grateful that I got to have one last bowl of Tom Yum Noodles before heading to the east coast for my new job. I can’t wait to come have another when I come back to SD to visit. ❤️❤️❤️
I often take my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is flavorable and the crew is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we pass a delightful time. warmly recommended.
Very limited menu. When eating first time at a Thai restaurant, I always have the Pad Thai. It was OK, but not available with pork. Also had a nice peanut flavor but very few actual peanut chunks. The only pork item is a friend appetizer (did not get). I ordered Pad Thai with chicken (picture) at spice level 2. I don't like spicy food but could have kicked it up a notch or two. Beef, shrimp, or fish is an extra dollar. Probably will come back and try the soup. They use real bowls or paper instead of styrofoam, unlike the Chinese place next door.
A new Thai place taking over an old one, it's clean and modern inside with some seating. It's counter-serve style, with a very small limited menu. Staff is okay. Prices are reasonable, there is no lunch menu, just a regular one. Also, there are no descriptions of menu items.
I got the drunken noodles with tofu. It's an okay portion for the price. The thin rice noodles were used instead of the wide rice noodles, so I thought that was a bit odd. It came with tofu and a variety of soggy vegetables, like carrot, zucchini, onion, bell pepper, mushroom. Flavor was alright.
Overall, it's okay for a quick lunch, but it's nothing great.
