Royal Delicious

I love trying new restaurants and I was excited to try a new Vietnamese restaurant. My son and I arrived on a Saturday night for dinner. I was planning to get a few items like Egg Rolls, Spring Rolls, and Popcorn Chicken to get a taste for a variety of items. Upon arriving I asked if they had a kids size Pho, which they said not at this time. I went ahead and ordered my son a Rare Steak Pho with only noodles and broth, no meat. This was no problem. I then asked about the Spring Rolls. I was hoping they have grilled pork. Unfortunately, they only make shrimp spring rolls and I'm not a seafood fan. I then asked about the egg rolls. I love Vietnamese Egg Rolls served with fresh lettuce and fish sauce. They said they are just regular egg rolls, they don't come with the lettuce. Bummer. I then ordered a Cajun seasoned popcorn chicken and a Rare Steak Pho for me.

Our food was ready in just a couple minutes and was piping hot. My son's Pho was perfect, nothing but broth and noodles. My Pho was good but the broth was overly salty. The popcorn chicken was good. Usually popcorn chicken gets overcooked and dry these were definitely not. The breading was nice and crisp and the chicken was moist. I personally would have liked more seasoning as they were kind of bland.

The prices were very good. I felt like I was getting a good value for my money. I would definitely order the chicken again as they cooked it very well and the seasoning, what little there was, is very good. Overall not a bad experience but not something I would go out of my way for.
