Well for starters, my date and I ordered a drink, it had to have been 80% ice. We lucked out and got the server being trained. Very nice young lady, just a bit to chatty for my liking. Ordered the appetizer sampler. That was delicious. We order our dinners and both of us ordered our meat to be cooked Medium Well. Well after I'd say 20 plus minutes we had gotten our salads, the appetizers were cold and just about finished with my second drink and no food. Here starts the trouble. Right! Our dinners are taking longer because of our cooking selection. 5 more minutes . Well after the 3 or 4 5 more minutes ago, we still don't have our dinners. The Manager comes to the table to see if he can find out what's the hold up with our orders. Finally here comes our dinners, with medium Rare meat. Taking credit for delivering our dinners, like Moses parting the Red Sea, all proud of himself. I took one look at the meat and when it's RED on the outside, it's RED IN THE INSIDE. Discusted I started to complain, but decided this is not how I want my date to see me. I told the server, this is not how I had asked for my meat to be cooked, but I would live with it. 30 minutes and still I get a rare steak. Well the bill was insanely crazy. The drinks were ridiculously expensive. The dinner was marginal at best, and not getting a steak that was not even enjoyable, made the bill of $191 even more difficult to choke down. I would describe that dinner as bad as a first date that goes totally bad. I know I won't be recommending that restaurant, but I will be warning others about the experience I had. My date developed a headache and wanted to go home. Ruined dinner and broken heart.

Excellent, friendly service, as usual. A little pricey, but food is very good and worth it to me.

Update: Dropped a star. Unfortunately, today I ordered a chicken pot pie that arrived with a crust that was burned on top and chewy on the inside. I think that happens when you put a pie in the oven without thawing it first.

Friendly service from start to finish. Delicious food if your into country cooking staples like chicken fried steak. The portions are just as huge as they used to be which is nice to see they are not skimping after all this time. You definitely get another meal out of your order. To bad they got rid of the eclair though that was a family favorite. Brunch is also a good too lots of options most food well made.

Eh, so so, nothing to complain about, but just not wow. 30 hear old concept, very dated, definitely needs a revitalization of some sort. 30 years ago, I ate for the first time, few days ago I ate again. Every time I go, staff is fantastic but I keep having that "eh" feeling knowing it needs to improve. Reason why I'm not a frequent customer.

Food and service is always good. I got the trip tip and loved it. I have a large family and Justin our waiter was extremely attentive. We called ahead and they had our table for 14 ready right on time. The portions are a good size for the price. The bread with cheese is soft and tasty.
